Rado watches are known for their highly scratch-resistant cases that employ innovative materials and original designs, and in 1983, when the impressive Rado Anatom was launched with a new sapphire crystal, Rado was further researching the use of sapphire crystal as a material as hard as metal. Rado was further researching sapphire crystal as a hard material, comparable to metal, and had obtained various patents for its innovations in hard metal (tungsten carbide) and sapphire crystal. The “Anatom” was born as the crystallization of these efforts to refine the technology to create a beautiful exterior form like jewelry, while employing sapphire crystal in various forms using a method of cutting with a diamond tool.

Rado has pursued a design that does not compromise on visual beauty while pursuing a watch that fits naturally on the wrist from the perspective of the human anatomy. Rado’s watchmakers’ inquisitiveness has borne fruit in the form of a new convex (domed) sapphire crystal and a new streamlined bracelet and case clasp. The anatomical approach was a key factor in the creation of the ” Anatom ” and the origin of its name.

In the 1980s, Anatom was equipped with quartz in line with industry trends, but in 1996-1997, it was newly introduced as a self-winding watch. The current Anatom, with its “new high-tech ceramic material case” and “sapphire crystal finish,” is a page in Rado’s history with a new look and a new story, while ensuring that the tradition is carried on. The new Anatom comes in three colors: green, blue, and cognac. Each color has a gradation from the center to the outside on the dial, framing the dial. The design is lean and elegant, with white Super-LumiNova shining on the rhodium-colored hands, indexes, and date display at 6 o’clock. The black rubber bracelet not only makes them look sleek and attractive, but also gives the watch a modern look and a great feel that makes it even more elegant on the wrist.
