CITIZEN will release a limited number of Star Wars limited edition models based on the popular thermosensor design from the “CITIZEN COLLECITON RECORD LABEL” line, which features unique designs. A total of four models will be released on June 15, 2023 (Thursday).

Introduced in 1982, the “Thermosensor” was the world’s first analog/digital combination watch equipped with a temperature measurement function. The futuristic design of this model made it extremely popular among the younger generation. The “Citizen Collection Record Label,” a reissue of the Thermo Sensor, will be available in limited quantities in four models that express the world of Star Wars. The motifs are the popular droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, the fighter X-wing Starfighter, and the spaceship Millennium Falcon. The separate bezel, which is screwed on, is three-dimensional and features an edgy design. In addition, the decorative holes in the pressed band create a retro-futuristic atmosphere that matches the Star Wars worldview. In addition, each motif is engraved on the back cover, and the watch comes with a special Japan-only spec box and a card with each character printed on it.
R2-D2
Based on a blue and white color scheme, this model incorporates the popular character R2-D2 in many places. The letters on the dial’s function displays are all unified in a futuristic typeface in the image of R2-D2. The upper left analog display features an image of R2-D2’s distinctive lens, while the upper right features a silhouette of his head.

C-3PO
This model is based on C-3PO’s iconic gold coloring. The analog display depicts the wiring on C-3PO’s torso, while the concentric circles on his belly and the three-pronged emblem on the back of his head are designed in the center. Furthermore, embossing around the periphery of the dial expresses the lines framing C-3PO’s head.

X-Wing Starfighter
This model uses a painting technique called weathering to reproduce the blurred red lines of the X-Wing Starfighter and the atmosphere of an aircraft that has been used for many years. The upper right analog display is marked “RED5” with five lines to indicate that this is Luke Skywalker’s aircraft.

Millennium Falcon
This model is based on the spacecraft Millennium Falcon, with a line drawing of the silhouette of the fuselage on the entire dial. The upper left analog display shows the image of the aircraft projected on the control panel, while the upper right shows a line drawing of the star trails during hyperdrive. The grooves in the lower part of the case, colored light blue, represent the luminescence of the engine nozzle.
