Woolrich Collaborates with Digital Art Platform 'Serving the People' for Heritage-Inspired Capsule Collection

WOOLRICH has collaborated with “Serving the People” led by New York-based Lucien Smith. The capsule collection is now on sale at Woolrich Futakotamagawa, Isetan Shinjuku, Shinsaibashi Parco, and the official online store.

Inspired by archival workwear pieces, the collaborative collection combines practicality and design.

Woolrich continues its Fall/Winter 2020 campaign with a collaboration with artist Lucien Smith. For this collaboration, Woolrich partnered with ” Serving the People, ” a non-profit organization founded in 2017 and led by Lucien Smith that provides a digital platform for the next generation of artists and creators to express themselves. After visiting the Woolrich archives in Bologna, Lucien commissioned graphic designer Fergus Purcell to design the logo for the collaboration. The result is a capsule collection that explores Woolrich’s heritage and icons, preserving and highlighting a part of the brand’s history.

The red and black hunting check pattern, which originated in a Pennsylvania woolen mill nearly 150 years ago, was incorporated into a half-zip fleece jacket, while the camouflage Shadowbark pattern, invented by Woolrich in 1987 for hunting wear and suitable for a variety of outdoor activities, was printed on a water-repellent nylon printed water-repellent nylon overalls are also not to be missed. They feature a shirt collar, horizontal pockets, and zippers on the front and sides of both legs for volume adjustment.

Other items feature the highly visible orange color, well-known in the workwear industry, throughout. The Puffy jacket is made of ripstop nylon for windproofing, while the use of down provides high warmth despite its light weight.

The 100% wool overshirt features a fleece lining for greater protection in the outdoors. The lineup includes a wide variety of items with a twist in design, such as a logo embroidered knit beanie and a reversible double-sided scarf in buffalo check and original check pattern.

The campaign visuals feature photographer Ryan McGinley. The images were shot on a road trip between upstate New York, Harriman State Park, and Bear Mountain with his team and Lucien guiding the cool youth.
