Designer Daisuke Ohana of N. Hollywood, who owns rare vintage Champion sweatshirts, has reconstructed Champion’s signature “Reverse Weave® ” manufacturing method for the “New Weave” capsule collection. This collection follows the rules of Reverse Weave®, which reduces vertical shrinkage by using the fabric horizontally, and arranges it through three-dimensional cutting, a technique that Mr. Ohana is very particular about. For the second collection, the elbow patches and layered ribs seen on USA Champion items from the 1990s are used on the hooded sweatshirts and crew neck sweatshirts. The sweatpants have been updated with a flared silhouette. The high neck sweatshirt is a newly added item. Green and T. Gray colors have been added, and the hooded and crew-neck sweatshirts are now also available in multi-colors of black and green. Each item is specially designed with the logos of both brands that symbolize the collaboration.
REVERSE WEAVE® HOODED SWEATSHIRT
The hooded sweatshirt is made of 11.5 oz. backed fabric, cut in three-dimensional patterns, and finished with a single piece of fabric from the front to the upper part of the sleeves and back. The material develops its own unique texture as it is worn, and the wide silhouette and rounded shape of the sleeves are distinctive features. Both sides feature “EXPANSION GUSSET,” a feature of the Reverse Weave® manufacturing method, and seam pockets in place of kangaroo pockets. The neck section has a hood attached from the inside of the ribs, and elbow patches have been added to the sleeves.

A crew-neck type sweatshirt with the same specifications as the hooded sweatshirt. This time, the specifications have been changed to center seams. The neck part has a unique double layered rib.
