This second edition, following the jackets released last year, will include a wide range of apparel and accessories for men, women, and children. Materials include recycled nylon, polyester, and organic cotton procured according to specific sustainability standards. The key item, a jacket, features the iconic character “Monduck” from the 1960s on the inside, expressing the brand’s approach to materials that are less harmful to the environment. Also of note is the fact that Moncler uses recycled paper and recycled plastic bottles for the shopper, gift box, and other packaging materials.

The campaign ad for the “Moncler Bone to Protect” collection reads, “We used to climb mountains. But now we must help the mountain.” The message is “We used to climb mountains, but now we have to help them. The campaign “recycles” archival images from the past and combines them with beautiful images of the Alps, the mountains that are part of Moncler’s DNA. The campaign expresses the next step of Moncler’s commitment to protect people and the earth, which started with the goal of protecting themselves from the cold. Moncler has also declared itself fur-free and announced that it will phase out the use of fur. The Fall/Winter 2023 collection will be the last time fur is used in any of its items.
