Fendi teams up with Japanese designer for the first time! Collaboration with Anrealage by Kunihiko Morinaga, aka the scientist of the fashion world
The Fendi and Anrealage collaboration items, which were announced at Milan Fashion Week in January 2020, have finally been released after a lapse of about a year. This collaboration with a Japanese designer, a first for Fendi, was made possible by the final jury of the LVMH Prize in September 2019, in which Henrialeige participated. Unrealage designer Kunihiko Morinaga, whom Silvia Fendi calls “the scientist of the fashion world,” was a pioneer in 2013 when he created a garment based on photochromic technology that changes color when exposed to sunlight.
This collaboration expresses “FENDI-fied classicism,” the theme of the FENDI 2020-21FW men’s collection. In the video below, a model wearing the collaboration item appears on the runway at around 12 minutes 40 seconds.
