Fendi's new video featuring the iconic " peekaboo " savoir-faire bag!

FENDI, the Rome-based fashion house, has released a video featuring the iconic ” Peekaboo ” savoir-faire. The video introduces the process of completing the bag, which uses the ” laser cut, ” ” interlace ” and ” intarsia ” techniques from among the many Peekaboo models.

Featuring the Savoir Faire from ” Peekaboo “, the video depicts FENDI’s “timeless journey”!

Fendi released a video featuring the savoir-faire (i.e., the brand’s mastery and know-how) of its iconic “peekaboo” bag. The video depicts the Maison’s savoir-faire in a timeless way, working with luxurious materials such as leather and fur, along with Fendi yellow, and shows how the bag is completed using techniques such as “laser cutting,” “intarsia,” and “interlacing. The video also features the Palazzo della Civilizzazione Italia, the historic building in Rome that has been Fendi’s home since 2015. The video presents a “journey through time” by introducing the traditional handcrafts that the Maison is proud of, along with its long history, using modern technology.

The video is also available on the official FENDI Instagram account!

The video shows “how the Peekaboo X-Lite Fit and Peekaboo Iconic Essentials” are made.

The video features two Peekaboo shoes for men: the “Peekaboo X-Lite Fit,” with its distinctive laser cut, and the “Peekaboo Iconic Essentials,” a regular size shoe with an intarsia finish. Both models actually appeared on the runway of the 20SS men’s collection, a collaboration with Moonstar that drew much attention. For the Peekaboo X-Lite Fit, a leather panel with a resin-coated backside is cut out to become the Fendi logo design, and the front portion is completed with a pecan stripe lining on the inside. The suede pocket with the FF logo stamped all over it, which can be glimpsed from inside the bag, is a typical peekaboo finish.

The regular-sized Peekaboo Iconic Essential, featuring the intarsia technique, is made of Fendi’s iconic Celeria leather ” Cuoio Roma. Its noble and refined front section consists of two pieces of leather sewn together to form the base, which is then layered with panels of various layers of mink, which are then sewn together by hand. The leather with the FF logo stamped all over it, which can be glimpsed from inside the bag, also gives the bag a peekaboo-like finish.
