Reebok’s casual line “Reebok CLASSIC” and select store “NEPENTHES NY” announce a collaboration! The collaborative shoes, based on Reebok’s signature fitness shoe “WORKOUT PLUS,” will be available at Nepenthes from February 8 (Fri.). Regular sales at authorized retailers will begin on February 25 (Fri.).

Minimalist yet contrasting suede and leather “WORKOUT PLUS NEPENTHES
Reebok Classic, Reebok’s casual line that focuses on classic Reebok shoes, and Nepenthes NY, the New York store of Nepenthes, a boutique founded by Kenzo Shimizu in 1988, have collaborated to create a new line of Reebok Classic shoes. The collaboration shoes are based on the “WORKOUT PLUS”, Reebok’s representative model from the 80’s. Launched in 1985 as a men’s fitness shoe, the WORKOUT PLUS gained high popularity for its durability and good grip, and led the fitness boom of the 80’s. The shoes are now available at the New York store of NEPENTHES, a specialty store founded by Kenzo Nepenthes in 1988. It is no exaggeration to say that they were Reebok’s mainstay sneakers that led the fitness boom of the 1980s. Now, Nepenthes NY has added a playful twist to such a pair with the ” WORKOUT PLUS NEPENTHES.
The side panel, a feature of the base model, has been changed to a more oversized version while the logo has been eliminated for a minimalist look. In addition, by adopting suede for the panel portion, the contrast with the leather that is the main material of the upper is highlighted, creating a look that is both simple and unique. The blue and red Reebok logo on the white body of the shoe is embroidered with the words “nepenthes ny” as proof of the collaboration. The special collaboration model will be available for pre-sale at Nepenthes on February 8 (Fri.), and will be on sale at authorized retailers from February 15 (Fri.).
