The upper of the Air Max 95 was designed by Sergio Lozano, an up-and-coming designer back in 1995, inspired by the human body. It is said that Tinker Hatfield, who designed the first Air Max, was so impressed with the design that he dropped muscle fibers such as the human spine, ribs, and Achilles tendon.
