Zero Halliburton is a leading manufacturer of suitcases for executives, with its high-quality materials and breathtaking functional beauty. Zero Halliburton is the ultimate luggage brand, with the highest peak in both design and durability, and is now a status symbol in itself to own one. In this issue, we focus on ” Zero Halliburton ” and introduce its charm and classic models!

About Zero Halliburton

Zero Halliburton is an American total luggage brand established in 1938. It mainly offers suitcases and attaché cases. With the cooperation of aeronautical design engineers, Zero Halliburton perfected and introduced to the world the attaché case made of aluminum, which was revolutionary at the time. The ” Lunar Sample Containers ” used in the Apollo program were also made by Zero Halliburton. Zero Halliburton’s suitcases and attaché cases have unique “double ribs” and “X-ribs,” which increase durability. The traditional aluminum body models are extremely resistant to external shocks and are extremely well sealed to protect the contents of the case in any environment. In recent years, the company has also developed a lightweight polycarbonate model that is comfortable to carry. Starting this year, 2017, the production base for all products has completely returned to the brand’s home country of the United States, further stimulating the pursuit of its origins and authenticity. It is a luxury case brand with outstanding status as well as functional beauty.

History of Zero Halliburton

Founded on innovative aluminum case manufacturing

Zero Halliburton was established in 1938. The founder, Erle P. Halliburton, was a businessman in the oil business. While traveling around the world on business, he took the advice of an aircraft engineer to create a sturdy bag and perfected the aluminum alloy attaché case. He then established Halliburton Case Company in Burbank, California, U.S.A., and began full-scale sales. In 1946, the brand’s iconic “double-ribbed” attaché case was completed. In 1952, the “Zero Halliburton” brand was born when Halliburton Cases, Inc. joined the Girardot Metals Corporation, which changed its name to “Zero Corporation.

Anecdotes such as the Apollo program and nuclear footballs attest to Zero Halliburton’s durability

In 1968, the company moved its factory to Salt Lake City, Utah. The following year, 1969, was the year of the Apollo program, and Zero Halliburton’s bags were used as cases to carry rocks and sand back from the moon. The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) commissioned Zero Halliburton to manufacture a case called the ” Lunar Collection Specimen Container. However, there was no such thing as special processing for space use, and only the inside of a model sold commercially to the general public was modified. In 1974, a hijacked plane was blown up at Beirut Airport in Lebanon after hostages were released, and the Zero Halliburton case was found in the wreckage. Although the outside of the Zero Halliburton case was discolored, the inside was completely undamaged. The Zero Halliburton case has been featured in many films and is the favorite of Hollywood actress and singer Marlene Dietrich, among others. The famous black briefcase (nuclear football), which only the President of the United States is allowed to own and which contains important classified information on nuclear weapons, is also said to have been made by Zero Halliburton.

High quality and status make the brand synonymous with suitcases

Originally operating as a division of Zero Corporation, Zero Halliburton became independent in 2007. The company was newly launched as Zero Halliburton Company. The following year, in 2008, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of its founding, the company invited designer Tim Fenton to be its executive design consultant, and released a limited edition model. In addition to the aluminum products that had been the mainstream at the beginning, the company introduced a new model using lightweight and strong polycarbonate material. Nylon and carbon fiber models were also added to the lineup, and the company now offers a series of small items made of cowhide leather. Zero Halliburton cases continue to evolve and are loved by executives around the world for their top-class durability and iconic design.

Zero Halliburton’s iconic “double rib” design was introduced in 1946, just after World War II. As the name suggests, the two ribs dramatically increased the strength of the exterior compared to conventional cases. For more than 70 years since then, the double rib has been a symbol of the reliability of Zero Halliburton’s products, proving their solid solidity to the world.

In 2013, the brand celebrated its 75th anniversary with the introduction of the “X-Rib. The traditional double rib has been improved to a more beautiful and attractive line, which has evolved not only in terms of durability but also in terms of design. The X-rib is a completely different process that uses a bending process to create a three-dimensional geometric change in the double rib. As the next generation of Zero Halliburton products, the new rib shape has been realized and reborn as a modern and beautiful form.

Materials used in Zero Halliburton bags

Robust and luxurious aluminum

Aluminum is the “starting material” of the Zero Halliburton brand. Not only does it protect the contents from any kind of impact, but its luxurious texture is also a major attraction. The ” P ” series of aluminum attaché cases, with its traditional double-ribbed design, is a premium line that combines perfect practicality and luxury.

The flagship model, ” Geo Aluminum 3.0 ” is an aluminum-body suitcase. The “X ribs,” an evolution of the double ribs, combine high rigidity and design. Another feature of the aluminum body is that it becomes more durable as it is used more and more.

Polycarbonate, which boasts an impressive lightness

Polycarbonate has been attracting attention as a cutting-edge material suitable for suitcases since around 2000. Although it is slightly less luxurious than aluminum, polycarbonate is a material that can achieve the overwhelming lightness that is an indispensable element in travel cases. Zero Halliburton began using polycarbonate in its 2008 models, and the quality of the material has been updated with each passing year. The latest “ZRL” series is the brand’s lightest model, inheriting Zero Halliburton’s genes of beautiful form, robustness, and mobility, while at the same time being lightweight. The next generation of suitcases for the modern traveler who travels light and stylishly.

The “Classic Polycarbonate AT,” an attaché case model, has the lightness and comfort characteristic of polycarbonate, but also has a heavy shine that makes it look like metal from the outside. It also features a handle that is both durable and easy to grip, easing the stress of carrying.

Zero Halliburton’s long-term warranty is another Zero Halliburton attraction.

Zero Halliburton’s high level of after-sales service is also an attraction of Zero Halliburton that is not well known. The company offers a 10-year warranty on aluminum products and a 5-year warranty on polycarbonate and other plastic products. This is a more generous after-sales service than the five-year warranty offered by other leading suitcase brands, such as Rimowa’s five-year warranty and Globe-Trotter’s two-year warranty.

Zero Global Tracking Program (ZGT)” for lost luggage

The ZERO GLOBAL TRACKING PROGRAM is a unique program designed to return misplaced, lost, or stolen Zero Halliburton suitcases to their owners. The program was launched in response to the tens of thousands of valuable and expensive items that are left behind at airports, trains, cabs, etc. every day, most of which are never returned to their owners. The UID (Unique Identification Code), which is engraved on a plate attached to the outside of the product after purchase, is registered and linked to a network of more than 2,200 lost and found offices. This dramatically increases the probability of getting a lost suitcase back to you in the event of a lost baggage or other suitcase loss at the airport. (Applies to U.S.-made models released after March 2017.)
