adidas Originals will release the “FORUM 84 LOW HIYADAM” sneaker on April 8 (Sat) in collaboration with HIYADAM, a multi-talented model as well as rapper.

HIYADAM Reimagines Adidas Originals’ “Forum,” a Popular Street Style Icon

From the “adidas ENERGY” collection, in which adidas Originals reimagines the brand’s heritage for the next generation, the “Forum 84 Low HIYADAM” is the seventh “TOKYO ENERGY” collection focused on Tokyo. This neo-futuristic pair is packed with the particulars of the multi-talented HIYADAM, who has attracted attention for his unique musicality and fashion sense.

Based on the “Forum 84 Low,” which HIYADAM himself used to be a favorite wearer, this pair dares to eliminate the model’s iconic detail, the ankle strap. Despite the one-tone color scheme, the upper is made of different materials (nylon and TPU rubber) to create a three-dimensional texture. The laces are arranged in a loop type, adding “play” to the iconic Adidas model. These shoes were born from the idea of HIYADAM, which has always emphasized “play” before thinking of a theme, concept, or title when creating something. The design incorporates the perspective of creative development from unexpected happenings, finding fun in meaningless “play,” and reconstructing a new world. The bulky “Forum” silhouette is retained, but the design is updated with simple colors and textures, a mode pair that combines high fashion with a clean, sporty look that is somehow linked to HIYADAM’s flexible, genre-defying musical style.
