Ploom X’s MEVIUS has been super-advanced! What are the three renewed elements?

On Monday, March 20, the taste, price, and package design of the “MEVIUS” cigarette stick for the Ploom X were renewed. To mark the occasion of the renewal, an event was held at the Ploom Shop Ginza store to show the appeal of the new MEVIUS.

MEVIUS for Ploom X has undergone a major renewal in three areas: taste, design, and price!

The new MEVIUS features “ACTIVBLEND® for ^Japan*2,” a blend tailored to the tastes of the Japanese, created by JT’s master blenders in pursuit of an authentic tobacco ^feel*1. The four regular and menthol brands have been updated with a new taste and aroma, and brushed up with “a rich taste that is apparent from the first sip,” “a clear flavor that lasts to the end,” and “a solid smoke volume that enriches the smoking experience. The packaging has also been changed to visually express the rich tobacco taste by adopting a deep, multi-layered design. In addition to the taste and design, the price has been adjusted from 570 yen (including tax) to 500 yen (including tax), making the new product more accessible than ever.

The two men, who share a common interest in “cocktails” and “cigarettes,” both make full use of the technique of “blending,” held a talk session.

During the talk session, Mr. Saito tried a new MEVIUS. He praised the complex and delicately blended flavor of the new MEVIUS, based on his experience of making cocktails tailored to each person’s tastes with subtle differences in blending.

JT Master Blender Mr. Nishino showed great confidence in the new MEVIUS, but said he was not proud of it and would continue to pursue even better tasting cigarettes through further research.

To commemorate the renewal of MEVIUS, Ploom Shop Ginza has set up a test booth on the first basement floor for a limited time only.
