[ Flash Report ] Summary of the Latest "ROLEX" Models for 2023

A review of the new watches presented by ROLEX at Watches & Wonders Geneva, the world’s largest watch fair held in Geneva, Switzerland.

(1) The 60th anniversary of the “Daytona” was celebrated with a new generation model! The first “back-skeletonized” watch in the collection was the talk of the town.

The “Cosmograph Daytona” was created in 1963 to meet the needs of professional racing drivers. This year, which marked the 60th anniversary of its birth, the entire collection was reviewed and a new generation model was released with an overall update. The graphic balance of the dial, the Oyster case, and even the chronograph movement have been completely redesigned. Four color variations are available: ice blue dials, 18 ct white gold hour markers with white lacquered dials, 18 ct yellow gold hour markers with white lacquered dials, and golden, gloss, and sunray-finished dials.
The big news is that the platinum models are the first Oyster Perpetual collection to feature a see-through back. Rolex enthusiasts are already talking about it, and many are responding favorably.

(2) Not Cellini! Rolex’s new dress watch “1908”.

The “1908” is a brand new “Perpetual Collection” watch, which is not a new Cellini watch. The 39mm size of the watch is elegant and simple, and is a departure from the other new Rolex models. The slim case features a combination of domed and fluted bezels. The dial is elegantly finished with Arabic numerals 3, 9, and 12 and faceted index hour markers. At 6 o’clock is a small seconds hand with the words ” Superlative Chronometer ” arcing above it. The minute hand, shaped like a double-edged sword, adds a touch of sophistication. The movement is the Caliber 7140, which was introduced this year. In addition, the 18 ct yellow and white gold case has a transparent caseback, which allows the viewer to admire the movement’s technical sophistication and decoration.

(3) The second fully titanium watch in Rolex history was the Yacht-Master 42!

The all-new Yacht-Master 42 is now available. Following last year’s abrupt announcement of the Deep Sea Challenge, which drew much attention, the Yacht-Master 42 is made entirely of RLX titanium, from the case to the bracelet, and is finished with a technical satin finish. The design is reminiscent of the model introduced in 2019 with a bidirectional rotating bezel with raised polished numbers and graduated matte black ceramic Cerachrom bezel inserts. It has a satin-finished black dial and an Oyster bracelet with easy links (extension links).
