We caught up with Pitti Uomo regular Daniele Biagioli, who has appeared many times in OTOKOMAE articles. Catch him here. At the height of the street fashion boom, he was seen wearing street brand outerwear and hyped sneakers, but since last year, he has been creating a modern atmosphere with a focus on dressy clothes, which has always been his forte. Personally, I expected to see a noticeable number of low-profile sneaker wearers, both as a reaction to the trend of a few years ago, when voluminous sneakers were gaining momentum, and also because there was a string of releases from luxury brands. However, what we actually saw in large numbers at the venue on the first day of the show were men wearing loafers. This may be because dress fashion is the main focus at Pittiwomo. We will continue to keep an eye on the feet of fashionable people to see if loafers will be chosen as the footwear of choice for visitors to the upcoming fashion weeks in Milan and Paris.
