The Nike " Air Max 98 " is the model to watch now! Introducing 3 features and classic models you need to know about.

Three features that make up the Air Max 98

Features of the Air Max 98 (1) “Full-length Visible Air with an overwhelming presence

The Air Max 98 features “Full Length Visible Air,” a window across the entire circumference of the sole. This was first put to practical use in the Air Max 97 released in 1997. In the original Air Max, Visible Air was only partially visible on the heel, but with the Air Max 180, it is now visible from the outsole side. In the Air Max 95, which triggered the high-tech sneaker boom, Visible Air was installed in the forefoot. During the development stage, the Air Max 95 was called the “Air Total Max,” the Air Max 96 released the following year was called the “Air Total Max2,” and the Air Max 97 and Air Max 98, which featured full-length visible air, were called the ” Air Total Max3″ for the Air Max 97 and Air Max 98 with full-length Visible Air. The presence of the full-length Visible Air, which can be seen from the side as well as the rear, has not faded away.

Features of the Air Max 98 (2) “Asymmetrical upper with a sense of artistry

The Air Max 98 was designed by Sergio Lozano. He is the legendary shoe designer who also designed the Air Max 95. The design is based on the calm, regular rippled style of the previous Air Max 97, which was reworked into irregular waves for the Air Max 98. The result is a somewhat artistic finish. The upper is made of breathable mesh material. The mudguard is made of two layers of suede and smooth leather for improved durability. Reflective materials are placed throughout to make them stand out at night, a design typical of running shoes.

The leather parts with a swoosh at the toe are also original. The asymmetrical airmax logo on the tongue is also unique to the Air Max 98. The lacing holes have different parts in different locations to enhance the fit.

Even the heel is asymmetrical. Although not in the limelight as much as the Air Max 95 and Air Max 97 when they were first released, one of the reasons the Air Max 98 has been reevaluated in recent years is that it boasts the most artistic design of all the Air Max series.

Air Max 98 Feature #3: “Outsole with excellent grip

The outsole also follows the design of the previous Air Max 97. Visible air is eliminated, and the tread pattern prioritizes grip as a running shoe. The small Swoosh adds a subtle accent.
