The quilted tongue, double tassels, and U-shaped stitching on the ogamocha mocca follow the design of the ADRIAN, the royal model. The major difference is that the upper is made of Temperley leather instead of polished smooth. Temperley leather is aniline-finished soft smooth leather with a glossy finish. Temperley leather is less shiny than polished smooth leather and has a moist sheen. In addition to the natural texture of the leather, one of its charms is its ability to change over time.
The most important factor contributing to the lightweight design is the high-tech Phylon midsole. This new sole uses EVA material, which has never been used in Dr. Martens before, and reduces the overall weight of the shoe by one-third. Although not made with the pressure-bonded Goodyear welt method, the yellow stitching still maintains the “Dr. Martens” look.
