Introducing the appeal and classic models of ZEPPELIN, a romantic watch with an airship motif

Zeppelin’s masterpiece, the ” 100th Anniversary Model

The most representative model in the Zeppelin collection is the “SPECIAL EDITION 100 YEARS ZEPPELIN. Usually, a watch’s 100th anniversary is counted from the year of the brand’s founding. However, the 100th anniversary of Zeppelin refers to the first ship in the world, the ZEPPELIN, the world’s first rigid airship developed by Count Zeppelin. The first “LZ1” made its first successful flight on July 2, 1900, over the skies of Friedrichshafen on the shores of beautiful Lake Constance in southern Germany, and the 100th anniversary model is based on the design of the LZ1, with its domed glass and tachymeter scale being the most distinctive features of the model.
The series includes an attractive lineup of chronographs with a second or third subdial, a simple three-hand date model, and a skeleton model that allows the wearer to view the movement from the dial. Common to all the models is the word “100 Jahre,” which means “100th anniversary” in German, on the dial. The noble, round-tipped Breguet hands are also a distinguishing feature. The LZ1 is a proud achievement of people’s dream of flying freely in the sky.

LZ126 Los Angeles” that creates an intellectual atmosphere

The “LZ126 LOS ANGELES” was created to honor the history of the LZ126 airship built at the Zeppelin factory in Friedrichshafen, Germany, in 1924. The name “LOS ANGELES” was added to the model name because the “LZ126” was an airship transferred from the German government to the U.S. The “LZ126 LOS ANGELES” was the first airship developed for long-distance flights. It was the first passenger airship ever developed for long-distance flights, and its success in crossing the Atlantic in just 81 hours made international news. The LZ126 is the motif of this series, with its instrument-like tachymeter and classical Byzantine numeral indexes.
There are a variety of dial variations, including a model equipped with a pulse meter for measuring heart rate, which is rare among chronographs these days. The streamlined hands common to the series go well with the Byzantine numeral indexes, creating an especially intellectual atmosphere among Zeppelin watches.
