Liberty Prints Meet A.P.C.’s Radical Redesign: The 18th ‘Interaction’ Collection

A.P.C. (A.P.C.) will launch its latest “Interaction” project, a capsule collection composed entirely of Liberty prints, on Wednesday, March 8.

A.P.C.’s aesthetics remain intact in this capsule collection, which brings out the riches of Liberty’s fabrics to the fullest extent.

After 35 years of collaboration, the capsule collection “A.P.C. MADE WITH LIBERTY FABRICS INTERACTION #18” has been realized. Liberty offers surprising, innovative, and novel new materials such as silky rayon twill, technical nylon, military-style cotton ripstop, and sporty polyester jersey. Inspired by these fabrics, A.P.C. took a more radical direction, redesigning classic pieces in oversized shapes to highlight the spectacular nature of the prints.

The collection also offers a uniform-like coordination of tops and bottoms that can be worn as a set-up. A lineup of bucket hats in the same pattern was also included.

Based on Liberty prints, coloring reflects A.P.C. aesthetics

The richness of Liberty fabrics is brought out to the maximum, and the colors are reexamined to reflect the A.P.C. aesthetic. Monochrome dragons, characters overlapping khaki camouflage, large paisley motifs reworked in navy tone-on-tone, large floral prints, miniature flowers, and some of Liberty’s classic children’s clothing fabrics were also used. The line also includes printed strap summer sandals, placemats, napkins, and other tableware.
