Bandai will launch a collaborative collection with Mobile Suit Gundam and military fashion brand ALPHA INDUSTRIES on November 3, 2021 (Wednesday). The MA-1 and N-3B will be released sequentially at “STRICT-G,” an apparel store that incorporates the world view of Gundam (the N-3B will be released on November 13).

Mobile Suit Gundam x Alpha Industries” MA-1
The MA-1, a collaboration between ”Mobile Suit Gundam” and Alpha Industries, is a special-order model that aims to reproduce the first model after it was officially adopted by the USAF (U.S. Air Force), not to mention Alpha’s unique details such as the inside zipper for warmth and the cigarette pocket on the sleeve. The slash pockets, Oxygen tabs, ICS (Intercom System) cord loops, and other original MA-1 details are employed.
The two models are inspired by the crew jacket of the battleship “White Base” of the Earth Federation Forces and the Char jacket of the “Falmer” of the Principality of Zeon, respectively. Ten patches are attached to the popular MA-1 jacket to add a sense of fun to this special model. The back of the jacket can be worn reversibly as a camouflage jacket, and a “bloodchit” rescue patch is printed on the back. On the back left chest, there is a gimmick that allows you to remove and replace the patch on the front left chest with a hook and loop fastener, making this item a realistic representation of the world of Gundam.

The second item in the ”Mobile Suit Gundam” x Alpha Industries collaboration is the N-3B Flight Jacket, an American military masterpiece that, along with the MA-1, is popular with men and women of all ages around the world as a heavy outerwear that can withstand the midwinter cold. It features a large hood to protect the face and neck from the cold, which was designed to ensure visibility even in a snowstorm. The hood is surrounded by long-limbed faux fur, and the lining of the hood is lined with boa. The inner sleeves are lined with inner ribs to prevent wind from entering through the cuffs.
This item is also available in two types, with emblem patches on the left chest and both sleeves, inspired by the jackets used by the Earth Federation and Principality of Zeon armies. The stencil-style logo design printed on the back hem gives the item a special feeling of realism that brings the world of Gundam to life. The model with a slimmer fit to suit the Japanese body shape is a sophisticated piece that is easier to wear on the street, while maintaining the authentic specifications that conform to the mil-spec specifications because it is an official supplier to the U.S. military.
