What is “GORE-TEX”?

There are several types of GORE-TEX, but we will explain the three features of GORE-TEX fabrics along with the structure of the standard GORE-TEX fabrics, which are the main type of GORE-TEX!
Characteristics of GORE-TEX (1) ” Waterproof Durability
GORE-TEX fabrics have a three-layer structure called “GORE-TEX laminate,” with ” outer fabric, GORE-TEX membrane, and lining fabric” in between. The outermost layer, the outer layer, is made of a material that repels water, making it waterproof, while the smooth surface prevents dirt, gravel, and dust from sticking to it, making it durable. Characteristics of GORE-TEX➁ ” Breathability
What sets GORE-TEX apart from other materials is that in addition to its waterproofing properties, it is also breathable. This is due to the performance of the core ” GORE-TEX membrane ” located in the center of the three-layer structure. The GORE-TEX membrane, made of fluoroplastic, is characterized by countless small holes, which are so small that water droplets cannot pass through, but are larger than water vapor molecules, making it waterproof and breathable. This specification prevents stuffiness when worn, and enables the wearer to feel comfortable at all times.
Characteristic of GORE-TEX (3) ” Windproofness
Wind can chill the body when outdoors or in the rain. The great thing about GORE-TEX is that it also prevents wind.
