The first Onitsuka Tiger sneaker from the company’s founding in 1949 was born in the spring of the following year, 1950, when the cherry blossoms began to bloom. By introducing “basketball shoes,” which were said to be the most difficult sports shoe to manufacture at the time, Onitsuka Tiger left a solid mark on the sneaker industry.
