There are three main causes of blackened noses!

Why do blackheads form on the nose in the first place? Let’s check the causes first.

Causes of blackened nose (1) “Sebum and keratin clog the pores and oxidize, resulting in blackening.”

The main cause of blackheads on the nose is the accumulation of unwanted sebum and keratin. As a result of excess sebum and keratin remaining on the surface of the skin due to insufficient cleansing, turnover, hormonal imbalance, etc., they become clogged in the pores as keratin plugs. Of all the areas of the skin, the T-zone and nose are particularly prone to keratin plugs because of their high sebum secretion. Generally, keratin plugs are white and hardly noticeable in their initial state, but as they oxidize, they turn black. Therefore, it is ideal to take careful care of keratin plugs as soon as they form.

Causes of blackened noses (2) “Melanin pigmentation makes them appear black.

In addition to sebum and keratin plugs clogging the pores of the nose, pigmentation may also occur in the pores, causing blackheads. Pigmentation is mainly caused by damage from ultraviolet rays and friction, and if pigmentation is occurring on the nose, it may be due to “lack of sun protection” or “excessive touching of the nose. Be careful if you are so concerned about blackheads that you push out the pores with your fingernails or fingers, or if you touch your nose because you are worried about roughness. In addition, if the blackheads are caused by melanin pigment, it is recommended to use whitening cosmetics or a medical laser instead of the usual keratin plug care.

Causes of blackheads on the nose (3): “May be caused by hair growth.”

In fact, there is also a pattern in which it is not a blackhead on the nose but a hair growth. Because the hairs on the nose are quite short, they can be mistaken for blackheads. Alternatively, it is possible that the blackheads may be larger due to the entanglement of the hairs and the plugs. Since it is quite difficult for an amateur to distinguish between a blackhead and a hair growth on the nose, it is important to consult a professional such as a dermatologist. If it is a hair growth, hair removal will probably result in a pore-less skin.

What is the NG care for blackheads on the nose that we tend to do?

Before introducing correct care, we will first explain NG care. If there are any care methods that you have been doing for the best of your intentions, it is a good idea to stop them immediately.

NG care for blackheads on the nose (1) “Pushing out the plugs with fingernails or fingers

Men in particular tend to push out the keratin plugs. Although it may seem refreshing at the time, forcibly pushing out the plugs damages the area around the pores, causing melanin pigment blackheads and expanding the pores, making it easier for blackheads to form. If you have been squeezing the plugs out with your fingernails or fingers because you think it is the quickest way to get rid of them, be careful.

NG care for blackheads on the nose (2) “Using a pore pack that can be peeled off.

Exfoliating nasal packs and pore packs are also a definite no-no, as they cause open pores that are difficult to remedy with self-care. In some cases, repeated peeling can inflame the nose, hardening the skin and making it difficult to remove dirt from the pores. Skin problems caused by pore packs are common among both men and women, so men who use them should stop now.

NG care for blackheads on the nose (3) “Scrubbing your nose when washing your face is also a no-no.

Many of you may be scrubbing your noses vigorously with face washes and scrubs to remove blackheads. Be careful not to wash your face excessively, as this can deprive the skin of the moisture it needs and induce excessive sebum secretion, which can lead to blackheads forming more easily. The best way to wash your face is to lather your face with a cleanser and wash carefully to avoid friction.

You can do it at home! 4 correct ways to improve blackheads on the nose

I want to get rid of blackheads right away! If you want to get rid of blackheads right away, you need to go to a beauty clinic for treatment. However, if you continue with self-care, you can expect to improve blackhead pores caused by sebum and keratin. Here, we will explain how to take care of blackheads at home!

Correct remedies for blackheads on the nose (1) “Use oil cleansing to remove dead skin cells!

Oil cleansing is unfamiliar to men who do not wear makeup. Oil cleansing is an item used to remove makeup, but in fact it is also suitable for pore care, and its sebum-dissolving action makes it effective in removing keratin plugs. The product is very easy to use. Simply apply an appropriate amount to dry skin before cleansing and gently run your fingers over the skin. At this stage, you should be able to feel the keratin plugs falling off. After the oil has been thoroughly absorbed, add a small amount of water and continue massaging until emulsification (cloudiness) occurs. Finally, rinse with lukewarm water about the same temperature as your body, and wash your face if necessary. Continuing this process will result in a pore-less nose.

Corrective measures for blackheads on the nose (2) “Try washing your face with a dense lather!

In order to approach the deepest part of the pores with facial cleansing, it is essential to create a fine lather and wash the face carefully. If you wash your face as if you are pushing plenty of foam into the pores of your nose, you can take care of dirt deep inside the pores. If the cleanser contains ingredients with excellent absorption and degreasing power, such as clay or charcoal, it will be more effective in treating dirt and grime in the pores. If you are considering using a cleanser in combination with cleansing, it is recommended that you choose a cleanser with moderate cleansing power.

Corrective measures for blackheads on the nose (3) “Prevent sebum oxidation with base makeup cosmetics.

Sebum oxidation is caused by exposure to air, so it is dangerous to leave nothing on the skin. For this reason, it is recommended to take in at least a simple base makeup. Light makeup will not be a burden on the skin, but rather will protect the skin from oxidation and prevent dark spots. BB cream, CC cream, and foundation are examples of base makeup that should be used, but if you are not comfortable with colored cosmetics, there are also transparent creams that prevent shine. Alternatively, sunscreen can be applied to protect against damage caused by UV rays.

Corrective measures for blackheads on the nose (4) “Select cosmetics with antioxidant properties to stop blackheads from darkening!

In order to prevent the darkening of white keratin plugs, it is recommended to use lotions and creams with antioxidant properties to prevent the oxidation of the epidermis. Vitamins C and E are among the most easily available antioxidants, and are often found in petit-price products that can be purchased at pharmacies. In addition, antioxidant cosmetics can be expected to prevent skin aging, and are therefore recommended for men who are concerned about sagging skin and wrinkles.
