Six stylish and economical hand soaps

Stylish and Economical Hand Soap IVOSAJI Hand Soap

In the Edo period, physicians who served lords and shoguns were called ” ospoon ” because of the way they used a spoon when mixing medicines. The Japanese lifestyle brand ” OSAJI ” was founded by Masakazu Shigeta with the idea of becoming the “osaji” of today. Many of their products are designed for sensitive skin, and their foam hand soap is also hypoallergenic and mild enough not to remove too much necessary oil. It is recommended for those who prefer the feeling that their hands are well moisturized after washing. The fragrance is available in three types, including an unscented type that is ideal for those who use it when cooking or for those who do not like fragrances. (100ml/660 yen)

Personally, I like Osage’s foam type hand soap because it feels moisturizing even after washing. I prefer liquid type hand soap to foam type because my hands feel moisturized after washing, but I genuinely thought I would like to continue using this foam hand soap because of its moisturizing power. I can understand why there are so many word-of-mouth reviews that say, “No matter how many times I wash my hands a day, this doesn’t make them rough.” The scented type has a unique finish that is hard to explain in a good way, as both are a mixture of natural flavors. The long-lasting fragrance is another point that I can personally recommend.

Stylish and Economical Hand Soap VretaW's Fragrance Hand Wash

This is a liquid type hand soap from retaW, a Tokyo-based brand with a “fragrance-enhanced lifestyle. The fragrance is a blend of deep lilies and slightly sweet cassis, and is designed to leave a lasting scent after washing by blending several types of natural essential oils. As mentioned above, the fragrance is one of the strengths of this hand soap, but it is also highly reputed for its moisturizing effect. In addition, it is known as a hand soap with many repeat customers because the texture extends well even with a small amount, giving a ” feeling of being thoroughly washed. Another high point of this product is its simple packaging, which can be simply left on the shelf to create a sense of interior design. (100ml/825 yen)

For a brand that is based on the concept of ” fragrance,” we highly recommend checking out this product if fragrance is important to you in your hand soap. The fragrance of this hand soap was quite popular among our editorial staff. The packaging is also very Tokyo-like and sophisticated, as it is directed by Hiroshi Fujiwara.

uka's Hand Wash Amu

It is no exaggeration to say that the Japanese total beauty brand “uka” is the ignition of nail oil. Did you know that this brand also offers hand soap? The refreshing and clear fragrance of tea tree, huckleberry, lemon, and thyme white, which draws out the power of nature and supports healthy conditions, is retained in the formulation of five key ingredients. It even contains Chromoji water from Tanba, Kyoto, which has skin conditioning properties, Ceramide AP, Ceramide NP, and moisturizing ingredients Totara bark extract and white fungus polysaccharide. It has a good lather, is mildly acidic, and can be used on the body (100ml/¥907).

While packed with so many ingredients that are good for the skin, it is priced at 3,670 yen (tax included) for 400 ml. Although the price per 100ml is the most expensive among the hand soaps introduced here, I personally think it is worth more than the price and is a perfect gift. The lather is not dense, but rather a refreshing texture that rinses off lather. The packaging is sophisticated and looks luxurious even when left on the shelf, and even after washing, you get a nice, not-too-strong scent plus a moisturizing feeling.
